Tonight was my movie night after god knows how long. I saw the film “Sabah” by Ruba Nadda at the Cumberland Cinema. It was a LOVELY film. Quite funny but real. A true love story. Sabah (played by ArsinĂ©e Khanjian) is falling in love with a very sweet Canadian guy called Stephen (played by Shawn Doyle). Sabah’s family is very traditional and is strictly sticking to their culture and values. She is confused, madly in love and doesn’t have a clue how to tell her family about her love affair. Especially to her old fashioned brother! Loved the way Ms. Khanjian plays the role; quite stunning. The soundtrack is also good, IF you are into Middle Eastern rhythms. Go and watch it, you won’t regret.
The next film on my list would definitely be Madagascar 🙂
