The Island

I just got back from the movie theatre. Watched “The Island“. Very exciting and different. The interesting part was the fact that all these brands such as Puma, MSN, Apple, etc. were desperate to publicize themselves in this film. Puma was definitely the winner. I won’t say anymore. I suggest you go and watch it yourself. You definitely won’t regret watching Scarlett and Ewan palying together. Don’t miss out Ewan’s cute Scottish accent!

I’m going away for two days. Will be in touch when I get back 🙂

Bisous

H2O

I’m on my lunch break, having tuna and cracker! How BORING … I’ve decided to drink at least three bottles of water everyday. I’m talking about the 500mL bottles. They say water is good for your general health. It’s good for your skin, body and of course it helps you to lose weight, which is a bonus. The problem is that since this morning I’ve been to the ladies’ god knows for how many times! It’s not really helpful, specially with all the workload. I was just reading the Globe and here is my horoscope for today:

“Someone you are fond of may not give you the kind of responses you were hoping for today – in fact they are liable to be downright unhelpful. But don’t think they have gone off you because that is about as far from the truth as it is possible to get.”

Nice one! Quite ture. I liked it 🙂

Off to the ladies’ … LaterZ

Rain …

I’m sining in the rain, just singing in the rain, what a glorious feeling and I’m happy again 🙂

It’s Sunday morning and It’s raining like it never rained before. I was planning to go walking but now I doubt it. I have a little bit of headache. Perhaps the apple martini was not the best idea last night.

I have to go walking. I need some fresh air and of course a coffee.

God bless you Gene!

I love myself … I love you …

I am listening to Deepak Chopra’s “A Gift of Love“. The best part is Demi‘s:

A lover asked his beloved,
Do you love yourself more than you love me?
Beloved replied, I have died to myself and I live for you.
I’ve disappeared from myself and my attributes,
I am present only for you.
I’ve forgotten all my learnings,
but from knowing you I’ve become a scholar.
I’ve lost all my strength, but from your power I am able.
I love myself…I love you.
I love you…I love myself.

Will be back soon … 🙂

Sixth Sense

The weekend was not bad. It was not good either. Some good moments and some bad ones. The Thousand Islands was just normal. The cruise was normal. The food was less than normal. Nothing special. Nothing really exciting. Maybe I was not in my best mood. Maybe I was only out there to occupy my mind. Nothing really attracted me that day. The Sunday brunch at bonjour Brioche was definitely more exciting. Their croissant is indeed the best in the town.

I was worried since last week. For no specific reason. Now I know why … I got the news on Saturday. But things will be great soon. Sooner than later. I believe in my sixth sense. I also believe not to trust the ones who are calling themselves “Friends” but are only bullshitting. Where are they when you need them? Where are they at the time of despair? Do they care? NO. Why should I then? I don’t. Not anymore 🙂

The weather is dreadful. I am melting. Even the AC is not helping.

Bathroom Readers

It has been absolutely crazy busy today. My manager is on her sabbatical for four weeks and I am here, sitting by myself and going crazy with all the workload. So I thought I better give myself a short break, have a Diet Coke and write here.

I am knackered. Not physically. Not mentally. I am just tired of mind games. Sick and tired of them. It is so not fair but I guess it just satisfies some people.

As most of you do, I quite like reading magazines or books in the bathroom. Last night I was reading this article in the January 2005 edition of the Fortune magazine (God bless the subscriber!). The cover story was “The 100 Best Companies to Work For” and guess what? Adobe was one of them and it was ranked 13th best company to work for in the states. How exciting!!! So I better stop nagging and get back to work.

Have a FAB weekend
 🙂

Toronto Is Burning

It’s 34C. Very hot. Very humid. I feel like taking a shower every half an hour. According to Metro Toronto, Temperatures reached a record 34C yesterday, surpassing the previous high for July 11 of 33.3C set in 1949.

God knows how we are going to play tonight in this heat. Should be fun and exciting though. We will somehow survive 😉

Back to work …
