Sixth Sense

The weekend was not bad. It was not good either. Some good moments and some bad ones. The Thousand Islands was just normal. The cruise was normal. The food was less than normal. Nothing special. Nothing really exciting. Maybe I was not in my best mood. Maybe I was only out there to occupy my mind. Nothing really attracted me that day. The Sunday brunch at bonjour Brioche was definitely more exciting. Their croissant is indeed the best in the town.

I was worried since last week. For no specific reason. Now I know why … I got the news on Saturday. But things will be great soon. Sooner than later. I believe in my sixth sense. I also believe not to trust the ones who are calling themselves “Friends” but are only bullshitting. Where are they when you need them? Where are they at the time of despair? Do they care? NO. Why should I then? I don’t. Not anymore 🙂

The weather is dreadful. I am melting. Even the AC is not helping.

Bathroom Readers

It has been absolutely crazy busy today. My manager is on her sabbatical for four weeks and I am here, sitting by myself and going crazy with all the workload. So I thought I better give myself a short break, have a Diet Coke and write here.

I am knackered. Not physically. Not mentally. I am just tired of mind games. Sick and tired of them. It is so not fair but I guess it just satisfies some people.

As most of you do, I quite like reading magazines or books in the bathroom. Last night I was reading this article in the January 2005 edition of the Fortune magazine (God bless the subscriber!). The cover story was “The 100 Best Companies to Work For” and guess what? Adobe was one of them and it was ranked 13th best company to work for in the states. How exciting!!! So I better stop nagging and get back to work.

Have a FAB weekend
 🙂

Toronto Is Burning

It’s 34C. Very hot. Very humid. I feel like taking a shower every half an hour. According to Metro Toronto, Temperatures reached a record 34C yesterday, surpassing the previous high for July 11 of 33.3C set in 1949.

God knows how we are going to play tonight in this heat. Should be fun and exciting though. We will somehow survive 😉

Back to work …

Sundays …

I’m on the eBay. Struggling to find Coldplay tickets. That’s going to be my last try. If I couldn’t find, then I’ll probably have to pay 200 bucks by the door.

What if I got it wrong
And no poem or song
Could put right what I got wrong
Or make you feel I belong

I don’t particularly like Sunday afternoons. They can be quite depressing. But today I liked it. It felt so good. That’s all because … Thanks 😉

Bisous …

Life Is Beautiful

I just got up. I deserved to take a nap after few hours biking, following by a huge breakfast in the most gorgeous French cafe and then followed by yoga. Life is beautiful now. The sun is shining. Toronto is celebrating the summer. There is live music everywhere. Life is beautiful. Especially…

Better get ready. Friends are on their way. Will keep you posted.

LaterZ DarlingZ 🙂

A Lost Friend

Thank god! I’ve heard from most of my friends in London after yesterday’s bombing! They are all doing fine but are extremely scared. The buses are not working; the tube is shut down; the city is devastated. What a mess!

Good thing that I heard from a very special friend (a lost one), after god knows how long.

How LOVELY to hear from you! xxx

I need a drink 🙂

London ROCKS!

BBC Sport Reports:

London beats Paris to 2012 Games
Olympic Games will be held in London, the International Olympic Committee has announced. London won a two-way fight with Paris by 54 votes to 50 at the IOC meetinteg in Singapore, after bids from Moscow, New York and Madrid were eliminad.

How cool is that?! 😉
