I always wanted to read the poems by Sylvia Plath and this started when I saw her biography film “Sylvia” (played beautifully by Gwyneth Paltrow) last year. So I bought her book few days ago. The collection of her poems. Here is what I read today; sad but sweet:
Bluebeard
I am sending back the key
that let me into bluebeard’s study;
because he would make love to me
I am sending back the key;
in his eye’s darkroom I can see
my X-rayed heart, dissected body:
I am sending back the key
that let me into bluebeard’s study.
Will be sharing more of her poems in the future.
Is this from ‘Ariel’?
No, I don’t think so!
So what does “her book” refer to if it’s not ‘Ariel’?
It’s a collection of her poems.
