Today on my way to work (and at work), I finally read the book “Embroideries”. It took no more than an hour to finish it. It was very frank and funny and the graphics and the artworks were simply FAB. Have you seen the film “How to Make an American Quilt“? Well, this book reminds me a lot of that film. Some elderly ladies get together for afternoon tea, refreshing their youthful memories and tell stories to youngsters mostly about the men they’ve lived with and through. Around six absolutely hilarious flashbacks!
“Embroideries” is another great read by Marjane Satrapi. Quite different to Persepolis but still a great one. Strongly recommended!
